Happy Tales Partners with Whole Foods For
"Love Fixes Everything" Spay/Neuter Promotion

Nashville, TN – (February 8, 2010) - February is National
Spay/Neuter Month and Happy Tales Humane is proud to announce
a partnership with Whole Foods in Cool Springs, TN to raise money
for their low-cost spay/neuter initiative, “Love Fixes Everything.”

Each Saturday in February, starting at 9:30 a.m., a Happy Tales
representative will be on site at Whole Foods of Cool Springs,
offering Happy Tales Humane coffee cups for a minimum donation
of $5. In addition, Whole Foods and the Tennessee Organic Coffee
Growers Association will fill your cup of coffee for FREE.

Spaying and neutering is the first and best defense against pet
overpopulation, overcrowded shelters and animal suffering.
According to the Humane Society of the United States, more than 4
million pets are euthanized in shelters each year.

During these tough economic times, those struggling to afford the
bare necessities may not be able to afford to spay or neuter their
pet. That’s where Happy Tales comes in. Those who are in need of
financial assistance can purchase low-cost spay/neuter certificates
for $10-$30 (originally priced $51-90) via www.friendsofanimals.
com. These certificates can be used at participating veterinarians
and cover the cost of a routine spay or neuter. The remainder of the
certificate cost is subsidized by Happy Tales’ “Love Fixes
Everything” program.

Texas Music Artist Zane Williams Celebrates Release of
THE RIGHT PLACE with His Tennessee Friends on Jan 29th

Nashville, TN (January 22, 2010) - Texas Music artist Zane
Williams will be playing songs from his new CD,  THE RIGHT
PLACE, which was released this week, for all of his friends and fans
in Tennessee at Judge Beans BBQ at 7022 Church Street East in
Brentwood, TN on Friday, January 29th. The show will begin at 6:
00pm and it is FREE to the public.

Staying true to his roots, Williams pulled in fellow Texan Radney
Foster to produce his latest project.  Foster says about Williams,
"Zane Williams is the real deal. He has the wordsmith chops of a
young Guy Clark, and the melodic sense of Rodney Crowell. "

Just after graduating from Abilene Christian University, Williams
moved to Nashville in 1999 to pursue songwriting. He quickly
landed a publishing deal but figured out he’d rather be at home in
Texas creating and performing his own music.

“I’m a late bloomer,” says the 31 year old performer.  “It took me 9
years in Nashville to figure out who I am musically and to find my
sound.  And sure enough once I found it, it sounded like Texas,”
says Williams.

Williams’ time in Nashville paid off in more ways than one. Not only
did he find himself musically, but he also wrote Jason Michael
Carroll’s current hit single “Hurry Home.”

Williams performs songs from his new CD release and many
others on Friday night January 29th at 6pm.

WHAT "THEY" ARE SAYING...

“…If you’re in the mood for true honky-tonk music, you’re in the right
place.”
COUNTRY WEEKLY

“…With Radney Foster’s production touches, Zane Williams is
showcased as an artist that is worth seeking out as The Right Place
recalls the best about Jack Ingram and other mainstream-leaning
Texas artists.”
ROUGHSTOCK.COM

“…Though recorded in Nashville, Foster and Williams conjure the
wooden floors and neon beer signs of Texas dance halls…
“…there’s an excitement in his delivery that jumps off this latest
record…”

Debut Artist Jason Sturgeon Announces
New Label, New Music and a New Attitude

Nashville, TN (February 2, 2010) – Debut country artist Jason
Sturgeon, on Toolpusher Records, is releasing his first single
“Simple Life” to country radio.  In this ever changing music industry
environment Sturgeon is taking a “hands on” approach to his
business and his career.  He is the executive at his record label
and his keen sense for who he is as an artist and businessman
plays a key role.

In this new business model a group of music industry
professionals have been enlisted to be Sturgeon’s team and
include: Dennis Kurtz (Showgun Entertainment/Project
Management), Larry Pareigis (Nine North Records) Jeri Petty
(Rodeo Legacy Marketing), Nancy Tunick (GrassRoots Promotion),
Debbie Gibson Palmer and Jack Pride (Spinville Records), Craig
Bann (Aristo Media) Bobbe Morhiser (Marco Club Connection) Brian
Cecil (Briserv/Internet Marketing & Web Design) and Vanessa
Parker-Davis (Splash! PR).

“Sturgeon is a breath of fresh air. His head on approach to life and
his career is refreshing,” says Pareigis, VP of Nine North Records.
“We are excited about taking Jason’s music to radio and beyond.”

Born and raised in the small town of Petersburg, IN, Sturgeon grew
up in a family of coal miners, farmers and oilmen.  He wrote or co-
wrote every song on his forthcoming full length CD aptly titled THAT’
S ME which will release later this year.

The CD was produced by fellow Indiana native Dane Clark, who is a
musician and producer.  Clark has toured with artists such as;
Steve Earle, Bob Woodruff and Donovan among others.  His most
recent appointment is the drummer for John Mellencamp.  Clark
has also worked in the studio with some of Nashville’s most
decorated writers and producers including Steve Earl and Ray
Kennedy.   Clark and Sturgeon collaborated on THAT’S ME, co-
writing the songs on the new CD as well as producing.
THAT’S ME is a collision of all of Sturgeon’s musical influences and
his upbringing and each thread of his life’s tapestry can be heard in
each note.

The debut single “Simple Life” is a personal snapshot of Sturgeon.
As the lyric goes…. “Let me tell you ‘bout my hometown, streets roll
up when the sun goes down, hustle and bustle don’t mean a thing,
except on Friday night. Two stoplights and an IGA, a little park where
the children play – place where people mean what they say and say
it right to your face…around here it’s the simple life, ain’t got too far
but I’m doin’ alright. In love I believe and for freedom I’ll fight, I’m
happy living the simple life.”

Sturgeon is about to embark on a trip to make some new friends at
country radio and “Simple Life” is slated to hit the airwaves on April
5th. The full length CD THAT’S ME will be released later this year.
