Kristina Cornell to Lofton Creek Records

January 29, 2007--  Lofton Creek Records has
announced the signing of singer/songwriter Kristina
Cornell. Mike Borchetta, President of Lofton Creek, knew
the moment he heard Kristina deliver a song he wanted
her on the label. To say "her voice is unique and
appealing, like no other in Nashville, is a serious
understatement" explains Borchetta, a long-time music
industry veteran responsible for launching the careers of
many super-stars including Glenn Campbell and Tim Mc
Graw. Kristina is the first act to sign with Lofton Creek
since the success of Heartland with their number one song
“I Loved Her First”.

Kristina, born and raised in Pittsburgh , started writing and
performing long before she moved to Nashville to pursue
her music. In " Music City " her dreams started coming to
fruition immediately, within weeks she landed a publishing
deal plus acting spots in several music videos and
commercials. She soon hooked up with Cheyney
McCarter, as her manager, and seasoned producer Dave
Gibson to collaborate on writing and producing tracks that
showcased her talent. This teaming resulted in several
tracks which quickly caught the attention of many top
labels in town. After weighing her options, Kristina felt she
found the perfect home for exploring her music with Lofton
Creek Records and Mike Borchetta.

Kristina's new single “Little Red Balloon” will reach radio in
time for the Country Radio Seminar. Her album is
scheduled for release this spring.
