First single with new label is fan-favorite “Guinevere”

February 10, 2010 (NASHVILLE, TN)  -  The Eli Young Band, newly
nominated for “Top New Vocal Group” by the Academy Of Country

Republic/Universal South Records. “Guinevere,” a song from the
band’s national debut on Universal South, Jet Black & Jealous, will
be the first single released through Republic Nashville; the song
will be serviced to radio in the coming weeks. A favorite of the band’
s fervid legion of fans, “Guinevere” already enjoys great success on
music download sites, and the video for the song is garnering
strong airplay on music video channels.

“This band was born with the fans, grown with the fans and
continues to prosper and thrive with the fans on every level,” said
Jimmy Harnen, President of Republic Nashville.  “It is both exciting
and an honor to welcome the Eli Young Band to Republic Nashville.”

Scott Borchetta, President/CEO Big Machine Label Group, said,
“I’ve been following the build and momentum of EYB for quite some
time.  This isn’t the first time I’ve tried to sign them but we’ve got
them now and we can’t wait to get to work!”

"The Eli Young Band has paid their dues to become one of country's
most energetic new forces," stated Tom Mackay, Executive Vice
President of A&R for Universal Republic. "The promise they've
shown as songwriters and as one of the most dynamic live bands
in music positions them for even greater successes under the
Republic Nashville banner."

The Eli Young Band’s national debut Jet Black & Jealous entered
the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart at #5,  #2 on iTunes and
produced their first Top 10 single at country radio with “Always The
Love Songs.” The band has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, The
Tonight Show, CMT and GAC, and has earned acclaim in People
Magazine, USA Today, Billboard, The New Yorker, Performing
Songwriter and Country Weekly. The band recently wrapped a
nation wide sold-out tour with Gary Allan and continues to sellout
hard ticket venues on their own around the country ranging from
1,000 capacity clubs to 3,000 capacity theaters, and in some cases
more than 10,000 tickets.  The band will also join the Country
Throwdown tour this summer along with Jamey Johnson,
Montgomery Gentry, Jack Ingram, Little Big Town, and Eric Church.
