Small point by "To" should be "Too" |
Now, I am a big Dale Watson admirer. His last album, "Whiskey Or God" was a perfect vehicle for his Merle Haggardish vocals. This CD is a different matter. It should have been titled "Johnny Cash, the album he didn't do." His voice seems to have dropped by an octave and the material is very, very dark. It won't stop me from being a Dale admirer but the CD will not get the plays that his previous output has achieved. |

| Worth getting for the duet with Freddy Fender alone. For one more magical moment Freddy reached out and helped Clay create magic. This could be the CD that at long last wakes up the world to Clay's immense writing and performing talents. Ten out of ten and more!! |
