"BANJOMAN: A TRIBUTE TO DERROLL ADAMS"
RISING SON RECORDS RSR-2102-2
Produced by Hans Theessink and Arlo Guthrie Project Coordination: Milica Theessink
Although this album came out in 2002, it is one that is ever-current. I became a Derroll Adams admirer many years ago when a 10" album of him with Ramblin' Jack Adams came into my possession. Without the likes of Derroll, Woody Guthrie, Cisco Houston and Ramblin' Jack, Folk and Country music would not have been able to progess. Their music was real. Derroll was the last of the piratesI thank Arlo Guthrie and T-Shirt Cathy for getting into my hands. Just reading the names of some of the performers takes me back to my folknick years at the end of the 60s.
