Portland , OR (January 7, 2010) ----- Country singer/songwriter, Travis Rush, is gearing up for the new year by releasing his first single, “You’ll Find Your Way,” this week. The CDs are going out to radio today, with GrassRoots Promotion spearheading the radio promotion effort. Fans can download the song and accompanying video on iTunes January 19, 2010. The song is from Rush’s upcoming album, Feel, which releases March 16th.
“Travis is a unique talent and ‘You’ll Find Your Way’ speaks to our times, both the challenges and the hope,” says Nancy Tunick, Managing Partner, GrassRoots Promotion. “We are excited to work with radio to bring this song to country music listeners.”
At the same time, Rush has brought on Craig Bann, Senior Vice President, AristoMedia, to join the team with promoting Rush’s new video. “We're very excited to be working with Travis and the team at Mason Records. “‘You'll Find Your Way’ has a very timely and inspirational message that we feel our outlets will be ready to support.”
“The past year has been such a cool experience,” says Rush. “We started getting the music out to fans through my website this past summer to get their input on the songs and they actually helped me select my first single, ‘You’ll Find Your Way.’ Now it’s time for the next step in this amazing adventure as we take the music to radio, media and other marketing outlets. I look forward to meeting everyone and saying hello again to some old friends on the road. Let the music begin!”
Fans began voting on the single selection process in July 2009 at www.travisrush.com, and the final round of voting took place in October, with Rush releasing a completely different single from the previous one he had intended. Then as a way of saying “thank you” to his fans, Rush offered a pre-order opportunity for his new CD, Feel, September 15, 2009 through March 15, 2010. Besides receiving copies of the new album, fans can also purchase Travis Rush exclusive pre-order sweatshirts, women’s baby doll t-shirts and women’s tank tops. Rush also records a personal voice message as each order is placed thanking fans for the early purchase. In addition, all pre-orders receive a different MP3 from Feel every two weeks until the album releases. The full project will be shipped to all pre-orders the day before the official release of March 16, 2010 .
Rush is based in his home state of Oregon but recorded Feel at Tree O Studios in Ridgetop, Tennessee, which is located just outside Music City. The album was co-produced by Roger Eaton, Jim Henson and Rush and features tunes from some of Nashville ’ s top songwriters. The project is on Mason Records and will be distributed digitally by IODA and in retail stores by Burnside Distribution.
At the age of fifteen, Rush became self-taught on the piano and began writing songs and eventually his music led to a recruitment from Up With People that had Rush performing in two-hundred concerts in thirteen countries. In 2007, he released his first album project, Come And Get It. Rush shot a music video for the compelling ballad from the CD, “Just For Tonight,” that was directed by indie film director Matthew Harrison, a Martin Scorsese protégé. The song rated a stellar review from Music Row Magazine where Robert K. Oermann says, “A striking song and performance.”
